Thingmagic M6e-Micro UHF RFID Reader/Writer Module

The Thingmagic M6e-Micro UHF RFID reader module features an ultra-compact module design and a superior "fast search algorithm," especially for reading rapidly moving tags. It can be embedded in various common RFID handheld and portable readers, such as printers and handheld computers. It can also be used to design small reader devices or as an add-on to existing equipment to meet various automation needs. The reading distance depends on the RFID antenna size and materials. With the same antenna, its reading distance can be more than twice that of ordinary modules.

This miniature RFID module provides two antenna ports and supports transmit power up to +30 dBm to meet demanding application requirements. Its edge connections are used for transmitting signals, power, and RF signals, allowing it to be directly soldered onto the motherboard as a standard component. Alternatively, the module can be connected to the motherboard as an optional add-on via onboard connectors.

Overview

Thingmagic M6e-Micro adopts an ultra-small module structure design and an excellent "fast search algorithm", especially for reading fast-moving tags. It can be embedded in various commonly used handheld and portable devices, such as printers and handheld computers. It can also be used to design small reader devices or as an additional accessory for existing equipment to meet various automation requirements. The reading distance depends on the size of the antenna and the material. When paired with the same antenna, its reading and writing distance can be more than twice that of ordinary modules.

The M6e-Micro can read tags at a speed of up to 750 tags per second, which is more than four times that of the general read-write modules on the market. Moreover, its power consumption when writing data to tags is also quite low.

The M6e-Micro also outperforms common ultra-high frequency radio frequency identification modules in data transmission, with an energy consumption of only 0.025 watts and a rapid response after receiving instructions. The operating voltage range of Mirco is from 3.3 volts to 5 volts, and it is equipped with an internal power-saving design. Supports EPCglobal's Gen2 and ISO18000-6C protocols. The Micro module series is designed for medium to large-sized tag "group reading" applications, especially suitable for applications in toll collection, vehicle management, race timing, and access control. The M6e-Micro is specifically designed for high-volume production environments, supporting traditional board-to-board installation and surface mount welding, thereby reducing component and assembly costs for equipment manufacturers.
